Glen Affric is a very special and beautiful place. A natural nature reserve and a site of special scientific interest. The glen has a real wilderness feel although, fences and buildings show that it has been inhabited for a long time. the hills will always be there, but Strawberry Cottage allows you to linger for a while and get the most out of your experience. Long days are the best, the hills deserve to be savoured and many of the fantastic ridges are not really accessible to the day tripper.

Strawberry Cottage is a great and comfortable hut, especially given it’s remote location. The refurbished upper dorm is bright and airy, and certainly the best  in Scotland. The kitchen is well equipped, the running water, flush WC and drying room all a welcome surprise after your walk or cycle in. Even better is the wood burning stove that will already be lit by the car drivers in your party who arrived first (just) and carried all your kit  and food up to the cottage.

The people and clubs that visit Strawberry Cottage always come back, the guest book is a living history. The sooner you make that first visit, the sooner you can come back!
